She nodded in understanding looking at the hound, there was a certain companionship there and Shahal couldn't help but feel a slight pang of envy at it. She needed to get herself a pet she finally figured, maybe she'd stop at an animal shelter one of these days or something because the girl was really starting to feel how lonely she actually was.
"It would be an honor then," Shahal said, giving him a smile, it would be nice to actually consider someone a friend after being alone for so long, especially someone that she felt a familiarity with.
She shrugged, "Not a problem, someone had to pick up the slack. And your right God wouldn't have been to happy, it was probably in your best interest to not go back anyway," Shahal shook her head and grimaced slightly at his next question, "It's kinda complicated, but the condensed version would be that I was tricked into believing that this one demon was a pretty decent being, I didn't resist temptation too well and went back to met with him against God's wishes. The demon got me drunk, started to add fuel to my anger, I agreed to something, I can't even remember what,"
She paused, trying to remember but it wouldn't come so she simply kept going," All of a sudden I'm in the middle of a ritual were Mr Deceit is trying to take my power and soul to feed to another demon or some shit like that, then everything goes red before going black. Next thing I know I wake up looking like this and I've got these nifty demonic powers, oh and I'm pretty damn screwed in the fact that God is more then just a bit peeved at me,"

He had been silent while she told him the story, thinking about it, in the end it was very clear God would probably want her dead, but that wouldn't be a problem, if she really bested Michael in a fight she should be safe, he didn't really understand what was going on, he just found someone with a similar aura and his angelic friendly side emerged. "Is that the reason you hunt demons? to get revenge from the one who did this to you?"
"Well then let me tell you a bit of my story, one day I started hearing voices, it was different than any thing I'd felt before, but it was all in my head. After a few days I couldn't take it anymore and just ran away, finally discovering I had a demon side I tried to control it. Overtime I found a way to 'fuse' those two sides in one, similar to what you have become"
He wasn't sure if he should continue, but he did so. "The points of view from both sides merged into one, and not wanting to pick a side I became an observer, but unlike God I get some of the action, either hunting down my enemies or simply having fights to keep boredom at bay".

Shahal nodded, "Pretty much, I don't know if that asshole is alive or dead and the bugs the hell outta me, I tend to take my anger out on the demons I come across. That and well, I'm a very vengeful sort of girl, have always been but I don't have a reason to stifle it now,"
Having listened to his story she gave him a curious sort of glance, walking a bit closer as if to get a better look, her brows furrowed together slightly, "Have you got any idea how the demon side got there?" How odd it must have seemed to simply have a demon in ones head one day, Shahal could barely begin to imagine what that must have been like, but it seemed like a damn fine reason to go AWOL to her.
"Yeah it got a bit crazy up there for a while, kinda funny though I ain't gonna lie, watching everyone run around trying to figure what had happened and where you'd gotten off to, or what they were gonna do since they were short an Archangel," Things had reached a slight level of chaos before settling back down again.

Not being able to hold back he just laughed. "Then picking on the lesser demons until you find the bad guy is it? Not a bad plan I guess, someday he'll need to come out and you'll get your revenge". That kind of attitude seemed like a demon's, revenge is not something many angels thought of that.
He didn't seem to notice she was taking a closer look, he was lost in thought, he never really figured out that part, and he had gotten tired of looking for the answer. "No idea, that's the part that still bugs me but I'm sure I'll find the answer when I least expect it, that's the way things work after all".
"At least I provided a little entertainment to the ones who didn't go crazy looking for me". He had never heard about things up there after he left, now he met another angel and he just found funny the situation when he left. "Speaking or Archangels, did they get a replacement for me already?"

Shahal couldn't help but chuckle as he summed up her plan, "Yeah I figured that, or maybe I'd just find the right demon. One who'd know something about him and be able to tell me what I need to know before I chopped it's head off," The was a rather devious glint in her eyes as she stated it, but that was truth.
"It is, isn't it?" Shahal mused with him, goodness knows that was the oddest case she'd ever heard off, for an archangel to suddenly have a demon in it's head? It was unheard of, but then again there was a first time for everything.
She nodded, "Yep, there was a few of us that just kinda sat back and laughed at everyone else cause they were so peeved that the order of things had been disrupted," Shahal rolled her eyes at that, Angels just couldn't stand change, especially when it was that sudden, "Well they kinda did for a while, but then I suppose they needed to get a replacement for me too," Shahal said with a sort of an 'oops' chuckle, scratching at the back of her head.

Samael noticed her chuckle and he just smiled, he hadn't talked to someone in a long time and he was finding it amazing. "Yeah, in my opinion it would be easier to forget, but I have no way of knowing how badly you want revenge so you can just ignore me".
"At first I thought someone was messing with me, but later I just assumed it had been there for a while before I could even notice" He looked outside, it was a dark night, perfect for hunting demons, but he was having a good time and he wouldn't let it go that easily.
"Order of things... I don't like the sound of that, it is as if everything was predestined to happen and something went out of course. Reality is not as simple, it's all chaos and every decision made changes the course of things". The idea of being bound to a destiny was stupid, after all it's called free will for a thing. "So what have you been doing since you left, aside from hunting demons?"

"Will do," Shahal said return his smile, and laughing lightly at the suggestion to not pay him any mind, at least he had come out right to say what he was think and didn't try to give her a list of reasons why trying to get revenge would be a bad thing like others had tried to do, man she had found that so annoying it only made her want to kill the demon more.
"So you think that maybe it had been playing hide away in your mind?" That wasn't a very happy thought, to go around with something hiding in the back of your mind waiting for the perfect time to show itself, almost sent a shiver down her spine to think that a person might not be alone in the one most secret of places, it was rather chilling, "Kinda creepy,"
"Yeah I know that well enough, it's all the others up there that don't," She sighed, "They had gotten so used to things being a certain way that when it was disrupted most of the angels looked like they felt their heads spinning, sad really," She pitied other angels in the fact that they couldn't adapt well to changes, "Nothing at all really." Pathetically true, Shahal didn't have a social life, "I did try dating for a while but that never worked out, maybe I'm just too picky. What about you? Anything interesting?"

"So ignore me it is, that's good, your own choice, not just blinded by hate or something like that". Samael couldn't stop smiling, having a good conversation and all was good, but he made her smile, and she looked pretty when she smiled.
"Yeah, something like that I suppose, it must have known it wasn't safe to come out surrounded by angels or something". That voice only spoke to him when he was alone, as if it was hiding, obviously no demon would be stupid enough to show itself in heaven, that would mean a certain death. "Yeah, creepy, that's what I thought the first time too"
"It's good to know something about the time when I left, I was curious after all, with something as big as that going on". So angels had gone crazy over the fact that an Archangel suddenly disappeared, that was something funny. "Nothing, not even tried anything". He stopped a few seconds to think. "So what about trying one more date? just to see if I'm good enough"

"Course not, if one's blinded then it's a lot easier to make a big mistake, and I for one am much to tired to make one of those at this time," Shahal was sure she'd made enough mistakes to last her a good long while, there should be a limit to how many huge glaring mistakes a person could make in the span of a century, or that was her thought at least and she was sure others would agree with her.
That would have been something reckless, to make itself known around a bunch of angels in heaven, that would have been the end of him probably if that had happened, "I'll bet so, ta think your alone and then have something talking to you in your head, I'd of had a heart attack,"
"You left and a good week or so of chaos ensued, to put it simply," Shahal said with a chuckle, remembering that span of time in heaven, it was always good for a laugh, "Depends," Shahal said, giving him a coy sort of smile, "Are you asking for one?"

"Glad to know that. It seems you know what you are doing so there'll be no worries about that". Mistakes are one thing he didn't like, he had made too many in the past and there were many more he would make, and he could just hope not to pay too dearly for those.
"A heart attack? I'm glad I didn't have one of those, heard they are bad" Yes the voice had scared the hell out of him but he wouldn't let it go to that extent, he always tried to keep everything under control, even when it can't be possible all the time.
He just laughed. Chaos, he liked when that happened, very fun to see in others but not that much when it affected him. "Depends" He said teasingly. "Would you accept?"

"Of course I know what I'm doing," She put her hands on her hips and her nose in the air, "Let's be honest, I'm old, old enough to know that I should learn from previous mistakes," Shahal spoke matter of factly, she was very old and she was a smart enough girl to had learned from her mistakes.
At his words Shahal couldn't help but laugh outright, "Yeah so have I, and I've heard that you can get a pretty bad one if something really scares you unexpectedly," She managed to get out after gaining control of her laughter, plus who ever heard of an angel having a heart attack? Or a demon for that matter, it just didn't happen.
She felt a sort of soft blush threaten to creep up to her cheeks and fought it back down, weighing the pros and cons of going out on another date. It had after all been a long while since the last time she had gone out, but that time was the one that pretty much made her swear off dating. Samael seemed nice enough, and he wasn't that bad looking, but neither was the last guy and look how much of a disaster that turned into, "I'm not sure, perhaps I might," Shahal said with a soft smile, for once she was at a loss of what to do.

"Hey, nobody's saying that you don't. Most angels have very little experience because of God's politics of no intervention, they miss all the fun and there's nothing to learn up there". He picked up a little stone and began toying with it. "I just don't know what you have been through so be a little patient with me, will ya?"
"So what, I'm a comedian now?" He asked smiling. "Of course I've heard that, but honestly I don't get scared very easily, and even if I did I don't think I would get a heart attack or something like that"
He just saw her undecided and gave it a second thought, he had never gone in a date, at least not that he could remember. And maybe it was too sudden and he didn't want to push her to doing something she didn't want to, after all they had just met. "It's your choice, you can take your time to think about it, don't say I pushed you"

"Yeah, I know. Sorry about that," Shahal said sheepishly, rubbing at the back of her neck, "I'm a bit defense now and days," Both psychically and mentally, at the moment Shahal probably looked like her guard was down but she was still alert and ready for just about anything.
She smiled back, "It was the way you said it, caused a chuckle," Shahal replied pleasantly, "I'm sure you wouldn't either, I think that's just a human thing, I've never heard of any other sort of being having one,"
"Thanks," Shahal was wrestling with the idea, she bit her bottom lip thoughtfully, what harm could come of it? Who was she kidding, there was a lot that could become of a date but at the same time nothing would happen at all. For being so decisive normally she was being very indecisive at the moment, "It's just that I'm still kinda sore about my last date, it turned into a horror show," An even bigger one then the one before that one.

"Yeah don't worry about that" Hell knew he was defensive when a demon came close, they almost always tried to kill him, so far nobody made a good enough attempt. "Staying defensive keeps you alive after all"
"Then I guess I don't need to fear one of those, I'm a bit curious as to how they feel I must admit" Not being a human had some disadvantages after all, most of them weren't even worried about demon attacks because they didn't target humans as often as people like him.
"You don't need to thank me". He knew better than pushing people around. He remembered his recklessness costing him dearly when he was a lot younger. "Well the offer is still on the table in case you change your mind"

"Especially with all the demonic activity that's been going on lately," Now was not the time to be caught off guard, when a portal to the demon realm was near, it was in a persons best interest to stay defensive least they end up dead.
"Same here, I've wondered if it really is as painful as most people claim," But then again she had to keep in mind that she wasn't human, and had a much higher pain threshold then even most other demons, Shahal was not a 'girly-girl.'
She nodded, "I would love to go out with you," Shahal said with a smile, looking at him. Might as well go on the date with him, it wouldn't be so bad after all what could go wrong? She decided it would be good to at least try.
