The beginning of a new night and Shahal had spent it lazing around her cathedral, not exactly excited about going out fighting the good fight or whatever one wished to call it. Nights like these Shahal would spend a good chunk of time drinking coffee, listening to music, and musing about whatever came to mind. At the current moment she sat in her leather swivel chair behind a heavy black wood desk. Behind her was a cross left behind from when the place was still in use as a house of God, only now the cross had words spray painted in Latin on it.
Boot clad feet up on the desk Shahal leaned back, drinking a cup of strong coffee as the song Dull Boy blared from surround sound speakers all around the girl, she had a certain adoration for that song, it caught her feelings rather perfectly and she couldn't help but let her tail tap on the desk in time to the beat of the angry music. Setting the cup down she sighed softly and looked at the stain glass windows with the same Latin words spray painted onto the faces of the saints that looked down upon her.
"Deus misericordia vos simulatio futurus. Vestri verus colo colui cultum ego operor animadverto Ostendo vos diabolus insideo mei Quod firmus in sin ego iam ago in."
To say she was bitter would be an understatement, Shahal had been so angry when she had written that, even so her words were true, to her at least. Standing up she stretched and yawned, hearing a satisfactory crack from her spine Shahal stopped and fixed her leather vest and the snug red tartan strap bondage hip huggers she was wearing. With a sigh Shahal stalked over to her radio and picked another song, this one was Devil Woman by Cradle of Filth, another favorite.
She couldn't help but sing along and dance to the song, her hips swinging from side to side with the music as she lost herself in the song, her tail whipping at the air behind her as she moved. There was no pain now, music was such a beautiful relief from life, Shahal didn't know how she would have gotten by without it. The music replaced the thoughts that usually plagued her, thoughts of loneliness, betrayal, and revenge, truthfully she wasn't sure what had become of Asturel, and the idea that the creature could still be alive caused her blood to boil, but she through the thought away as she continued to dance with herself, not caring about anything at the moment, just the music that enveloped her.

Such an odd-looking specimen... At least she seems to be a greater demon. I may be in for a more exciting night than I expected.
A bemused expression on his face, Auros concentrated on concealing the light radiating from his body as he observed the dancing of the demon below. He chuckled under his breath and rose from his perch in the rafters, moving to a more desirable position to get a better look at her while remaining unseen.
Hold on. If she is a greater demon, then why don't I recognise her? Most of the time, I should have at least heard of demons of her apparent caliber.

The song ended and so did her dance, Shahal flipped through a few more songs again before letting it stop on HIM's Beyond Redemption before stepping away from her radio and fixing the rafters with a piercing stare, she had really been deep in the music to not have noticed the other in her house and that fact caused her to scowl deeply her tail flicking from side to side angrily.
"Did ya enjoy the show?" Shahal asked whoever was hiding in her rafters at the moment, "Or shall I do another to get ya to come down here?" She asked cheekily, swinging her hips a few times for emphasis, really if she wasn't out looking for demons they just came to find her then, was that it? Again a scowl found her features, "And there shall be no rest for the wicked" She whispered to herself in annoyance.

She knows I'm here. Time to make my entrance.
A lone figure, clad in pure white and exuding an almost ethereal glow of light, flipped down from the rafters, its wings unfurling to their full length to slow its descent. As he touched down and his wings furled up, Auros straightened up and regarded the demon before him, a small grin tugging at the corners of his mouth. "No, thank you. That was entertainment enough." He strode confidently forwards, his footsteps barely echoing, and extended his hand in greeting. "I am Auros. And who, my dear, might you be?"

"Shahal" She said simply and shook his hand, sizing him up as she did so, he was interesting looking that was for sure, very bright though. Even as an angel Shahal had been more in favor towards darkness, given the nature of her being she supposed, after all it was like that with nearly ever one of the Malakim.
"Now if you'd be so kind, please enlighten me as to why you were sneakin around my house and watching me?" Shahal wasn't sure which question she wanted answered more, but she did want them both answered and soon before she decided to throw him out, literally my I add. At least Auros seemed polite enough, she'd have had a fit already if he had been anything but.

Auros gave a polite nod as the girl named herself. In response to her question, however, he suppressed a laugh. "Your house? A cathedral? Hardly the most appropriate of places for a demon." He removed the smile from his face and regained his composure. She'd asked a question; refusing to answer would be just plain rude. "Forgive me for the intrusion, but one gets bored rather easily on nights such as this and I contented myself to go hunting. I stumbled across this cathedral and thought I'd take a closer look. That is all."

"Yes my house, God no longer lives here." She walked over to her desk and slipped herself onto it, crossing her legs before looking back over at him, "He stopped living here when the parish could no longer afford the rent on the land and abandoned it to the elements. I bought it not long after that, the deeds in my name, not God's" She sneered lightly, her resentment ran deep, "And I'm not a demon, or that is to say, not just a demon,"
Shahal gave a nod at that, she supposed it was a good enough answer, after all she had thought it was a lazy night herself, she couldn't hold it against someone else, even if that someone else had trespassed. But as she thought about that she couldn't hold that against Auros either, not many people knew she lived here, most thought it was a ghost or something like that.

Auros observed Shahal's resentful expression with a measure of interest. Was it the mention of God that warranted such a reaction? Confusing, but relatively easy to figure out with a little deduction. Deduction Auros would set to at another time.
For now, he was happy to be passing the time. He slid onto a bench and looked around, marvelling at the beautiful architecture. One would rarely find such exquisite buildings in the Demon World. "I must admit, you've chosen quite a home. Not a lot of people would think to look here for the likes of us."

Shahal grinned, nodding a bit and feeling her ego all but purr at the complement. The place didn't look like much from the outside and it wasn't supposed to as she didn't want anyone to know she lived here but she had taken a painstaking amount of time to restore most of the inside and she was very proud of that.
"I know, it was rather ingenious," Her tone was a bit smug but she couldn't help it, Shahal was both very fond and very proud of the place, "So Auros, how has your night been so far?" May as well make a bit of conversation with the man now that he was here.

"Uneventful, to say the least," Auros replied, looking towards the cathedral's main entrance as if waiting for a lesser demon to burst through. "It's quiet tonight, and I can't put my finger on exactly why. But of course, that may be because I haven't searched all that well. Actively looking for trouble was never my style; I prefer to let it come to me." Turning back to Shahal, he waited for a response, subconsciously listening out for other intruders.

"Maybe there's just something going on that we don't know about?" It was said in a joking manner but she was still rather serious about it. Absentmindedly Shahal looked out of one of the windows in the direction of the large tower, her eyes narrowing slightly, "What do you think Auros?" She asked he didn't seem like other demons and she could swear she had seen him somewhere before. The tower could barely be seen through the darkened and stain glassed windows but Shahal knew it was there and it was annoying her that she couldn't do anything about it, just like last time, only now it was because she didn't any information to go on.

"Perhaps," the demon mused, his glance shifting from one stained glass window to the next. "Though I must admit, you don't look like the type of girl to let such somethings pass you by..." He looked back at Shahal as he said this, raising his eyebrows. Whatever was going on must be linked to the odd tower outside. Auros began to wonder why he hadn't investigated before.
[ Bleh, no muse. ]

"I wouldn't normally, but sometimes things have a way of getting past a person, especially when you wish that they wouldn't," Fact of life, it sort of went hand in hand with Murphy's Law of whatever could go wrong would.
"Alright Auros, this has been buggin me a for a few minutes now," Shahal started, "I know I've heard your name before but I can't remember where, have any idea why you may have been talked about before?" She knew for a fact that she had heard something about him, but her memory was too damn hazy at the moment to actually let her remember.

A look of confusion spread across Auros' face as Shahal spoke. It was soon replaced with a small smile as he realised what she was talking about. "I'm actually quite proud of this fact," he began. "When Sparda's rebellion succeeded and he sealed his power away in the Demon World, I was one of the demons who fought to keep that power from falling into the wrong hands. I faced off against countless greater demons and sent them all back as shredded heaps of flesh. Made myself rather infamous."

She looked at him with big eyes, how could she have forgotten having heard about him, "Wow, you've got my respect mate," Shahal said to him with an appreciative eye, "That is something to be proud of I would think, after all Angels were talking about you in heaven," Shahal gave him another glance, "So what was it like to fight beside Sparda?" She asked with bright eyes.
