How boring Was the first thing to come to mind as Shahal walked out of the strip club and into the Bullseye Bar, it had been a rather slow night so far and surprisingly enough she wished it hadn't been, Shahal had actually been looking forward to putting bullet holes in things as a stress relief for the nightmare that had awoken her earlier on that night.
Of course things never go her way and after a few hours of absolutely nothing Shahal called time and made her way to the bar, crossing through the club to get here. Now she stood in the middle of the trashed bar and still nothing to do really so with a shrug of her shoulders Shahal made up her mind to have as much fun as she could with her surroundings.
With a hard kick a barstool went flying into the far wall and another soon followed only to be joined by a smashed up table and a few glasses and mugs. Shahal had to grin at the sight, things were just flying through the air and breaking apart because of her and she was finding it hilarious.
Finally satisfied with the destruction Shahal sat on the bar top and crossed her legs, looking around at the devastation before opening a bottle of vodka and having herself a swing, finding that her boredom was slowly returning and she couldn't help but let out a soft wistful sigh, she really needed a life, or maybe a pet.

Visions of death plagued the mind of one who was known as the son of both Michael and Lilith. This boy awoke to find that he was merely having a nightmare, he slid out of bed, he moved swiftly across the floor of his bedroom and onto his bathroom, within, he had a nice, warm shower. Within seconds, he smirked and dressed into his usual fishnet shirt, white cloak and long pants. Then he strapped his claymore, 'Destructor' to his back, his sword of the heavens to his side and pocketed his platinum knuckle busters in his pants.
Then the hybrid moved to the exit of his apartment, once he opened his door, a demon decided to attack him, but was met with a blow to the face with Ryu's prized platinum knucks, a smirk formed upon Ryu's face as he looked upon the demon's surprised look. Then Ryu unsheathed 'Destructor' then, as he moved at the speed of lightning, he slashed at the demon, the blade of his sword dripped with blood as he walked away, he did not even turn to see if he had killed the foul thing.
Ryu made his way to the Bullseye bar, it was not too far from where he lived. In fact he was a regular here, when he stepped inside, he noticed the damages, then the lovely Shahal, he had never seen her before, he walked over to her, his blood boiled, as he thought she was gorgeous, then he smiled and asked "Excuse me love, are you waiting on someone or is it alright for me to take this seat beside you?" Ryu smiled cockily and waited for her answer.
As he waited, he slid his hands in his pockets, only merely just realising that he still wielded his platinum knucks. His eyes closed slightly as he held back his impatience, then he reopened them, look to the barkeep and ordered "One Jim Beam, straight please mate." Then he turned to the girl and added "By the way, the name's Ryu, what may I call you, miss um...?"

Still nursing the bottle of vodka Shahal sat on the bar and mused on her sad excuse of a social life, only stopping to crack her neck and other stiff joints before taking an exceptionally large swing of the alcohol, Shahal was turning into an alcoholic she was becoming more and more sure of the fact and that just cemented the need of some sort of companionship, no matter how much she hated to admit it.
Her head snapped up as someone walked in and the evilest of grins nearly broke out onto her face, but somehow admirably Shahal managed to stave it off and keep composure. Well what a lucky little break, this could be the most fun she'd had in a while, Shahal could barely believe her luck the boy that had just waltzed into her clutches, none other then dear Michaels little half breed son. Subconsciously Shahal brought her hand up to touch the scar that marred her face no thanks to the Archangel in question, a plan was already brewing.
Was he hitting on her? Ok new plan brewing, maybe she could just charm this one to her side, vengeful bitter thing Shahal was, she knew she probably shouldn't do any such thing to the poor unsuspecting boy, but it was just to tempting, "Go ahead sweetheart, I'm not waitin for anyone," She purred, giving him a rather inviting smile.
Ryu, she wanted to say that she knew exactly who he was, it felt like her insides were wrestling with each other. On one hand her pure side wanted nothing to do with the idea, but the taint in her wanted revenge on Michael, and even as he spoke she wrestled around with herself, finally coming to the conclusion that she'd give him a chance and tell him her real name, if he didn't back away then he was as good as hers, "My name is Shahal, it's a pleasure to meet you Ryu,"

Still waiting on his drink, Ryu pulled the seat back and took a seat next to Shahal, his eyes moved up and down her body, he could not pick up that she was not good. In fact, he smiled once he learned her name. Then he said "Well miss Shahal, tell me what it is that brought you to a place like this? Also, why's the bar trashed?" Ryu did not completely care about the bar as he remained cool, calm and collected. Showing no emotion what so ever. Even his tone of voice was cold.
Ryu looked at her form, his eyes holding no emotion as he asked "By the way, why are you alone?" The hybrid male was prepared for a fight, it was his time to shine, he knew that. In fact he was not put on this earth to sit around doing nothing, so he hunted the evil sons of bitches who he could find. And even though this Shahal seemed nice enough, Ryu knew better to trust her easily, hence why he questioned her. He was policing situations so that he could access the dangers of this world. Ryu let his blonde hair sway with the winds which breezed through the windows. His cloak was left upon his form as he did not wish to reveal his weaponry.
He left in a hurry and did not even notice that he forgot his best weapon, the heavenly eagles. In fact, he did not even double check, his cockiness, got the better of him, now the only time he would find that he was missing the one weapon which would save his life against most things, would be when he faced them. Or was stuck in a gun fight. Ryu looked at Shahal, she did not seem to be evil but Ryu always thought of the saying 'don't judge a book by it's covers', which was why when he was not sure of someone, he asked them questions, these questions had hidden agendas hidden within them. So asking her about what happened to the bar, it was merely to see what story she would come up with.
The questions about why she was here or why she was alone was to see if she was here to hunt or here to lure a hunter or something. However, the question could go anywhere if answered in the right way. Now Ryu was to stubborn to realise that no matter what questions he placed to a demon or something of darkness. So Ryu waited for her answer, the bar looked like shit and Ryu looked around the room, noticing no one in sight, this was weird for the bullseye bar in Ryu's knowledge, so he asked "Where is everyone?"

Shahal smiled at him, poor boy didn't know what he was getting himself into by staying here with her. Too bad, her demon side chuckled out in her mind, he had his chance, now it was her turn to have some fun, "I'm a demon hunter," She said simply, placing the half empty bottle down, "Only tonights been rather slow on the take so I decided to get a drink in order to pass the time," No sense in lying about that, "As for why the bar's trashed, kids tend to come in and vandalize the place as of late," Plus there was the fact that she had gone out of her way to take her stress and annoyance out on the defenseless furniture, but he didn't need to know that little bit.
She turned to look at him, he was pretty much sizing her up, trying to see if she was a threat, well she sort of was and wasn't at the same time. Physically she wasn't a threat to the boy she could be if she wanted to but right now she felt no need, mentally and psychologically on the other hand she would turn out to be the girl daddy should have warned him about, "I work alone most of the time, plus I'm a big enough girl to be able to take care of myself. And you? What's such a good looking guy doing without a girl on his arm?" Shahal couldn't help but add a little compliment on that, Ryu was rather good looking, but Shahal had found that a little ego stroking could go a long way when it came to men.
"Ever since that damn tower sprung up in town most people have been too busy hiding in there houses to go drinking, thus also explaining a bit as to why kids have been trashing the bar, no one around to punish them for it," The hybrid answered and picked her bottle back up to take another swing, now maybe he was done with questioning her, "So what brings you here Ryu?"

Ryu looked to the girl, her words did seem to be truthful but there also seemed to be something hidden among the words which spilled from her mouth, but Ryu just did not dare to push on with more questions, he grew bored of questions, so he simply said "Well, women are nothing in which I need right now, I simply do not keep women with me as fighting demons is a profession I do not wish to get any woman involved in. Now I know you, yourself are a woman but I did not get you involved in this business." He smirked and turned from her, he thought how lucky he was to go with that rather than the truth.
Then he waited for her reply to his words but he simply sat there, looking at all the vandalism around the bar and area. Ryu's senses stirred, they had been sensing an angel nearby but the only being in his pressence was the beautiful girl sitting next to him. With such a gorgeously unique name, this Shahal character seemed to be more than what she led on, so Ryu decided that he should find out if she was indeed an angel, sent to help him with his task. So he simply asked "Now Shahal, how close to the creator are you?" This was simply a question which led to an angel's code when upon the earth, Michael was the one who told him to ask this question if he could sense an angel's presence. So since he had, he just had to wait for her answer.
Ryu turned his head away from her, tears swelled up within his eyes and he silently cried as he missed his father, Michael. He looked to the sky, tears fell from his eyes and then he wiped them away and added "The sooner I rid this world of demons, the better it shall be, so to answer you last question, I live around these parts, I come to the bullseye to drown my sorrows." This was true, but he only had sorrows because he had to leave the ones he loved back in Heaven. While he was sent here, to destroy all the demons within the world.
As time flew by, Ryu wondered when he would receive his answer, his eyes closed slightly as he waited, patiently and with a mind full of benevolence and a gallantly stoic demeanor. Ryu looked upon the girl before him, his senses never were wrong but looking to this girl, she did not seem angel like but then again, angels could be anything or anyone. So he could not offend them by thinking of them as less than himself. So he just merely awaited for her words to ring through his ears as she answered him, and if that meant for him to sit there as patient as a rock, then he shall do so.

Shahal looked at him, well he wasn't being completely honest with her, but then again neither was she with him. No matter though it wouldn't be a problem and at least that showed her that he was smarter and more careful then most and that she would just have to be a bit more wily then she first figured.
Well, he really was more careful then most, and it must have been Michaels doing no doubt, Shahal had raised an eyebrow at the question, but pressed a smile to her face. Normally she would scoff at the question but she couldn't do that while talking to Ryu so instead she thought of the most pleasant thing she could and let a smile cross her features before she spoke, "Close enough for him to entrust me with the souls of his beloved flock," It's what she would have said to him had she still been an Archangel, "And you? How close are you to he who is the father?"
"Yeah, I get it. It's hard to be alone isn't it? To be given the job no one wants and then to push everyone you might ever care about away while you do it," It took all the will power Shahal had to keep from sounding bitter as she spoke. After all, she had been deserted, there was no place and no one for her, she was destined to be alone, or at least that's how she felt. Which was just another motive to get this boy on her side, apart from wanting to make a mockery of his father, at least they wouldn't be so alone.
Shahal had slipped off the counter and stretched a little, before walking behind the bar and pulling out whatever bottles were still intact, "It's been a while since I've been able to share in someone's company, would you care for a drink?" Shahal asked as she placed the bottles before him along with a pair of glasses and awaited his reply.

As he listened to her words, he smirked, she was indeed an Arc, but yet there was an ex arc among these people, so he still needed to be careful, Michael spoke to his heart and simply said Be wary my son, there will be some who do not seem to be who they are. These words stuck to Ryu's heart ever since he heard them, his smirk shifted to a smile as he sat there, he looked at the drinks before him and simply said "Right now, I would rather a water, please." He was about to add And no funny business. But he did not, in fact, he simply sat there, he drifted his head to the side and looked upon her form.
The angelic hybrid, remembered that she had asked him a question that was passed on from angel to angel, it was a way to differ some from others, a way to trick demons, so Ryu simply answered "Well the father is the one which is above all, I can not be close nor far from him, being close to the father means being within his court, I am merely sitting on the outer circle of his kingdom, I join his court once I return there after my mission, Milady." Ryu was a hybrid, he was placed on the outer circles of heaven, he was a grunt which ended up making it to Archangel, of the lower class, yet due to being tutored by his father, he was the best choice to be sent to Earth.
And the reason for this is that he was both devil and angel, so he could hide his angelic side well. Many demons had thought of Ryu as a devil, so they simply respected him until he killed them. It was the perfect guise, he did not wish to reveal such a thing to the one next to him, she was gorgeous and seemed trustworthy enough but due to his father's words, he could not trust anyone. However, he was able to trust the demon hunter, Dante, as Ryu prayed to his father the night after he hunted with Dante, a smirk formed, as he looked upon Shahal's form, she seemed angelic enough and so he added "So why did they send you?"
Ryu sat and waited for her answer, while he did so, he looked into her eyes, searching for the truth or the lie. He did not have the power of his father, so he was not a walking lie detector, but he was taught to read the eyes of a person, when they spoke, they would make certain expressions for when they lied and for when they spoke the truth, they would have another form of expression. And so Ryu waited to find out if this girl was lying or telling him the truth, but Michael had always told him not to try this as he was not yet ready for it, he could make a lot of mistakes this way, so he just needed to trust his instincts.

Shahal gave a shrug, "Suite yourself then love," she said to him and took a moment to look around for some water, "Ah-ha!" She exclaimed with a slight grin as she found a bottle of water and leaned over to but it on the counter in front of him, which had probably given him a flash down her shirt now that she thought about it, oh well too late now, she decided to just brush it off.
She smiled at his answer, his father had trained him well, "Not a bad answer, you're a grunt then is what I'm guessing." She mixed a drink and had herself a swing before looking back over at him, "You must be good to have been sent by yourself Ryu" Shahal said with a soft praising sort of smile, she realize that she needed to get him to loosen up and warm up to her a bit more if this was to actually get anywhere.
The way he was looking at her reminded her so much of Michael, how the man could tell if a person was lying or not by watching them closely and Shahal knew she would have to choose her words carefully at the moment, so she took a long calming swing of her drink before she opened her mouth to speak, "Not so much that I was sent as that I wanted to see what it was like down here and begged and pleaded until I was given the ok to go,"
While it was still a lie it had enough elements of truth in it that Shahal figured he wouldn't be able to pick up in the lying. After all she had wanted to see what life was like down here, that was actually the reason she had been down here the first time when she had originally met Asturel, but that wasn't the reason she was here now, not that he needed to know this, "So, do anything fun on your free time?" She asked, leaning in a bit trying to find something else to talk about.
