Looking for you (Vergil)

[Chloe]

She smiled she'd managed to get in at least then again nothing trivial could stop her and she climbed the stairs she climbed upwards and didn't show any signs of stopping until she got what she wanted, and that was just to see and speak to Vergil. She needed to warn him of things rallying against him, and they were doing just that she doubted Arkham would have mentioned this to him and she would ask because she knew that Arkham probably would already know of it, he would just coincidently fail to mention it for he cared little about Vergil, and she was keeping an eye on him of course, maybe because she had known Vergil's father, she wanted to make sure he stayed safe after all, it was the least she could do.

She saw Arkham and her glare was piercing, it was cold and she gave a snarl to him.
"You haven't told him have you? Your a bastard I hate you get out of my way before I cut you down, after all I know what you know if not more you therefore are replacable, and I wouldn't have a problem with taking your place." Maybe she cared a little too much for that half breed, maybe her human emotions were getting in the way merging with that annoying voice had been strange and it was doing strange things to her. She gave an angry roar at the man and he soon left her alone, it annoyed her when people didn't say anything and it annoyed her even more when they failed to state the facts that were required. She sighed as she pushed her fringe out of her face and she climbed further walking down the halls of this place, why was it so big? How the hell was she meant to find Vergil in this place?

"Vergil?!" She asked as she pushed the door to a library open, nothing not even a sign of him, she sighed she was getting fustrated, and she punched a nearby wall, sighing again she moved on she couldn't follow the scents in this place because it was just too hard, there were too many. She growled low as she made her way back to the stairs once more, she thought she saw a blue coat go around a corner further up and she yelled.

"VERGIL!" She ran, well more like bolted up the stairs taking them two at a time as she ran she needed to tell him as soon as possible so that he didn't overlook it. She went around the corner and nothing, she sighed before she closed her eyes and folded her arms. So troublesome. She turned fine so he didn't want her help then she'd leave him to the dogs, leave him to be beaten down, leave him to his brother, that was unless he caught her now and asked what she wanted.

[Vergil]

Vergil had been in his chambers for the better part of three hours now after having gotten back from the abandoned warehouse. He had taken the time to polish Yamato and then sat leafing through different books that he and Arkham had brought with them from the mansion, making sure that he knew all he needed to, and that nothing had been over looked.

This was something big that Vergil was planning which is why he checked and re checked everything, but after having spent that long amount of time cramped in his room looking over dusty old tomes, Vergil was bored and in need of some fresh air so he figured he'd maybe either walk up to the Apex of the tower or go back out onto the streets.

The problem with walking back out on top the streets was the fact that there was still way to many people out and about and Vergil really didn't feel like dealing with the stupidity of humanity at the moment, not that he ever really did mind you, but at the moment he was feeling especially solitary and because of that he decided to make his way up to the towers Apex.

With a sigh Vergil stepped out of his chambers and made his way to the long steps that would eventually take him to the top of the tower, eventually because it was a long frickin way up, even for Vergil whom at times mused about getting a bunch of slaves to install an elevator in the tower or something cause this was ridiculous.

Lively taking the stairs one by one Vergil thought he heard someone talking but brushed it off, he tended to hear many a different thing in the tower so he kept walking until he was sure that he had heard someone speaking and finally decided to go see what it was when said voice called out his name, and he realized it was that girl, what was her name again...Cleo, Chlover..ah Chloe, that was it.

Moving so that he was in front of her as she moved down the stairs Vergil gave her a stoic sort of look, "What is it? What do you want?" His tone was as always, sharp and to the point. Vergil really hadn't wanted to be bothered by anyone but luck just didn't seem to be with him tonight.

"What is it? What do you want?" She had been looking down and at how long it'd take if she just jumpped, then again she had no idea how to control her powers if she had any at all of course. He spoke and she jumpped he'd startled her and she slipped falling backwards she fell and had to act on instinct, she panicked she was going to end up flat as a pancake if she didn't do something and fast, she looked either way and then her hand snapped out grabbing part of the stairs she launched herself back upwards she was agile and she was back at her previous point.

"Fool... You shouldn't sneak up on a lady... You'd scare them." She spoke quietly as she folded her arms.

"I guess Arkham hasn't told you that people are starting to rally against you. Oh and your 'stupid' Brother decided to try and hit on me, I ended up having to hand his ass to him, didn't kill him though because I'd have to ask your permission to do that of course since he is your sibling." She spoke quickly and to the point no bouncing around with words with this she passed him on the stairs and left him standing, she'd only turned up to let him know but she was greatful for having him there at least. She sighed before stopping on the stairs.

"Also I do hate to admit it but i was kind of bored, but I don't want to be around people, is there a quick way to the top? Or do these annoying stairs go on forever?" She asked she was staring upwards wow those stairs really did seem to go on forever.

"Ever given any thought to getting an elevator?" She asked she leaned a little to far out and her hand snapped out again grabbing Vergil's jacket she pulled herself back and instantly let go, her cheeks were going red and she ran, she hated that feeling and wanted rid of it, she started up the stairs running as fast as she could. She was going to reach the top, and then she'd let the heat fade from her face, why did her face feel like it was on fire? She cursed herself.

"Stupid human emotions" She yelled in her head why at a time like this.

"Sorry for grabbing your jacket, really sorry." She called back at the man she was acting strange and she kept running the entire time. She didn't even stop to see if he was following her to make sure she didn't destroy anything, she just kept on till her breathing hurt her lungs then she stopped and leant against a wall.

[Vergil]

Oops Vergil thought as she fell off the stairs, well he hadn't exactly meant to scare her into death, and he really didn't want her to fall, after all that would be quite the mess at the bottom and there was no way in hell he was going to clean that up. Lucky for the both of them though, the girl was a faster thinker then he gave her credit for and managed to get back up.

"Then ladies need to be more aware of their surroundings," Vergil said in his own defense, it wasn't his fault after all she had been the one seeking him out, the most he had done was answer the call, which was more then he would do for most so she should actually be a bit more appreciative.

He listened to her, absorbing the information but couldn't help but sneer as she mentioned that idiot brother of his, "Let them rally, I need a good workout. Not even in numbers will they be able to stop me" Vergil replied rather haughtily, "As for my brother, I don't care what you have to do to him as long as you don't kill him, that is my right and mine alone,"

Vergil gave her a curious sort of glance, so she wanted to go to the top of the tower as well to be alone, he sighed not knowing how that was going to work out as that had been his intended destination, "The stairs go on forever," The man answered dryly.

"Yes I have, many a different time," Vergil had been about to tell her that leaning so far out wasn't a very bright idea when of course she started to fall again, only this time she was using him as an anchor. Startled by this Vergil moved back, pressing his back against the wall, which in turn brought her back from the edge as well. The man really didn't feel like swan diving off the stairs when they were so high up, even he wasn't so sure that he'd survive that sudden stop. All he could do was blink as she turned tail and ran up the stairs, had she been blushing?

"What is with you?" He called after her, running off behind her and he wasn't even sure why. His reasons for following the girl seemed to be a mix of wanting to know why she was acting so strange and wanting to make sure she didn't break anything or fall off the damn stairs again, third time being the charm and all that. Finally finding her again Vergil stopped running, he was really starting to loath the stairs, "What, my I ask, was that about?" He asked, leaning against the wall as well and catching his breath.

She heard him coming and was about to run off again, why was he following her? Didn't he hate her after all? Her mind began to wander and she had to close her eyes to brush certain thoughts from her head. She took deep breaths and then heard him speak so he was following her.

"What, may I ask, was that about?" She looked at him as he spoke but looked to the stairs beneath her feet so that her hair fell over her face, she felt ashamed to say the least, she shouldn't have feelings for anyone she hadn't had feelings for anyone in centuries and that all ended in tears because she killed the man without meaning to. She kept her gaze on the floor before she turned and started walking upwards. That was until she stopped and spoke in response to his question.

"Nothing." Was all she said she was hiding something from him, it was easy to see that, then again she had all the reason to hide it from him, after all it wouldn't be nice being rejected by him, she was nervous, why? She was never nervous she was usually as confident as women came because she knew she was better than most. She sighed as she gave a low growl.

"Stupid human emotions." She mummbled although it might have been a little too loud and he might have heard her, she just hoped to the dark lord that he hadn't what if he had? What would he do? Push her off the stairs? Slice her in two? She started to panic slightly, maybe that was why she liked him so much, no she didn't like him, she couldn't making sense of human emotion was confusing her to no end.

"Human emotions are hard to deal with when you've not had them for only Lucifer knows how long." She stated, she put a hand to her head. So what was it she was feeling? Lust? Desire? Love? No couldn't be love no way, not for him. Maybe it was just the fact that she couldn't have him and so it only made her want him more, then again maybe it was because he was just so... Cruel or seemed to be, he sent shivers down her spine, and she always enjoyed that feeling, it wasn't often that a man managed to dominate her and maybe that was what made her like him, he was stronger than her, maybe he could teach her a thing or two.

She smiled slightly as she looked back at him. Her gaze fell on him and she even eyed him up then she looked away what the hell was she doing? So in turn she poked herself in the eyes and gave a snarl that hurt, alot.

"No, No, can't do that, not worth the effort, or pain." She snarled at herself as she blinked a few times her vision was a little blurry but it soon cleared and she walked backwards up the stairs so that she could keep her eyes on him but instead she slipped and fell on them instead cracking her head on the wall she gritted her teeth, she was a glutton for punishment or at least that would be what it probably looked like, then again he'd probably see that she was still acting rather strange even for her. She took a deep breath and exhaled before pushing herself to her feet.

"Look the reason I came to tell you about people rallying against you is because I don't want you getting hurt or killed. Plus I hate Arkham as it is and next time I see that bastard I'll kill him if he so much as utters a word of dissapproval to me, he'll probably come crawling to you and tell you that I threatened him before but who cares, he's just a tool after all, and I'd quite happily replace him. You might want to warn him about that or is he valueble to you?" She only rambled onwards about Arkham to maybe draw attention away from her first sentence, maybe he wouldn't be so suprised then, she spoke like it was a normal everyday thing but the red in her cheeks which she hadn't noticed said otherwise.
