Adeline pushed open the doors to the bar, leaning her shoulder into it seeing as it rusted even more on the hinges since she last came. This place was but a way to get out of the way of other people. She glanced around before going up to one of the still working stools near the counter. Sitting down she placed a hand on the edge of the counter and spun from left to right and back again. Noone was in the abandoned building at this point in time, Adeline usually came around this hour anyways. Stopping in mid swing, she let out a soft sigh and rested her elbows on the table, her hands running through her hair as she closed her eyes. The constant tick of the clock over head began to get on her nerves. With every tick part of her patience was nicked off. Opening her eyes again, she shook her head slightly and sat up straight. Kicking off the counter, she spun around until she was facing the open area of the bar.
Her elbows still on the counter as the rest of her arms draped over the edge. How long has it been? Three years since she came to this town? A lot of havoc sure decided to reel its ugly head around this area, and maybe thats why she stayed overall. Crossing her legs, her eyes drifted over to the door. "Boom." She muttered, imagining the whole building exploded spontaneously. This is what she did when she was lacking in entertainment.

To say Shahal needed a drink would have been a severe understatement to say the least. After barely surviving her last fight and being severely wounded because of it Shahal figured that she deserved a drink, but of course her house was bone dry of liquor of any sort, that was just her luck.
She had Arioch re-bandage her hands before she took off for the abandoned bar. Shahal must have still looked haggard with a new scar on her cheek and the bandages on her hands and abdomen. Honestly she was surprised she could still use her hands after having holes put into them, but at the moment she didn't care as she was in dire need of a drink.
Why Shahal had decided it would have been more fun to crawl around on the ceiling was anyones guess but she had, which was when she noticed the fact that she wasn't alone in the bar. Studying the girl for a moment she realized that the girl was human and decided to make her presence known.
Letting go of the ceiling she landed lightly on her feet behind the bar and grabbed the nearest bottle, "Care for a drink?" She asked of the other woman, wondering just what sort of greeting she would get from the human.

Adeline was so preoccupied in her head how the explosion would go that she didn't quite notice the body clinging up on the ceiling as it made its way behind the bar. Just in time as Adeline pinpointed where falling debris would fall, the sudden voice that reached her ears pulled her out of her explosion and back into the reality that was still the intact bar. A blink here and there, Adeline didnt bother with the flinch. She let her arms slip off the table and she leaned back in a way that had the top of her head rest back on the counter. She stared upside down at the woman behind the bar for a few moments before lifting her head and turning the chair so that she now faced her. Adeline didn't run into many demons, but the few she had run into, had her always on guard. She could simply deduce that the woman had come in another way, that Adeline was so distracted, she simply didn't notice. But that conclusion to her curiosity just simply wasn't enough.
Now if the woman was human or not, she wasn't sure, Demons were so good at what they do that unless they told you or change before your eyes, you wouldn't really know until just then... or maybe Adeline just had trust issues. "No, I'm alright." She said, giving the girl a quick look over. "Seems you could possibly use one though." She added.

Shahal blinked slightly, watching the girl, and she couldn't help but tilt her head a bit as the other woman was looking at her upside down. Humans were so odd Shahal thought to herself as she looked down at the girl, sometimes she wondered how they managed to make it through their lives.
"Your loss then," Shahal said, watching her closely. The human seemed guarded, which was a good thing for her health in this town, maybe Shahal had managed to run into one of the smarter humans, one that knew about demons and acted accordingly.
"You have no idea girl," Shahal muttered with a slight from on her face, did she really appear that haggard? Granted it was an amazing thing that she could even use her hands, or move for that matter, but Shahal shook the thought away as she mixed herself a drink before taking a swing and looking back over at the girl, "So what brings you here?" Shahal asked for the sake of pleasantries.

Hunching over slightly, she rested both her arms on the counter, her eye drifting to the arrangement of alcohol bottles near the back. "The fact that its a good few miles away from where I live. I don't have to be bothered here." She said in response to the womans question. Her uncovered eye found its way back to the counter as Adeline began to move around the dust and dirt particles with one of her fingers. "But then again, in this town, you have to be bothered by something or another where ever you may be. I guess its the norm around here." She added, referring to the broken clock that hung so proudly over the bottles, the ticks ticking away as the two black sticks that were suppose to move, only twitched with every tick tock tatter. Adeline let out a long sigh, you never knew how much patience you truly had until something small came and seemed to nick at your sanity. Yet you do nothing about it because in reality, its not a big deal and shouldn't be made into one.
It sucked sometimes to keep up appearances that way. Then again, its why Adeline liked this town, kept her mind busy, kept the thread of sanity she had left intact, no matter how annoyed or pissed off she may get. "I'm only guessing you come here for the free booze?" She questioned, finally returning her attention to the source of where her speech ended up.

It seemed that just about everyone was a solitary creature now and days, no one wanted to be bothered by anything or any other person. Perhaps that's what was wrong with the world today, but then again Shahal really could talk much on the topic, after all she was normally a solitary person as well, "You are very right about that, this isn't the best place to reside after all," She turned her attention to the annoying clock on the wall glaring at it slightly, "Especially with so many different annoyances,"
"Pretty much, although I only really do so if I realize a bit too late that I've run out of any and all liquor at home," Though what did it really matter when no one else really frequented the place, and the only people that really did only came to wreak the place some more.

"Because God knows how any human or demon would function properly without alcohol in they're systems." She mused, and chuckled softly. Seemed Adeline was going to change her mind on the whole, 'let not drink today' promise she made herself. Gesturing her head to the selection of alcohol near the back, she rested her head on her hand as her elbow stayed supported by the counter. "You seem to know what they got around here, mind if I ask you to get me any strong liquor they have?" She asked, her eyes going from the woman to the different bottles. Adeline wasn't much of a drinker but whenever she did decide to douse her insides with the poison, she made sure it was the strongest stuff so she didn't have to drink a lot of it. Her intent wasn't to get drunk but to become a little loose.
She always made sure she was sober, but times like these, she wanted to become just slightly unaware, she had more fun that way.

Shahal looked the girl over rather curiously at her words, "You know about demons?" Twas a rather rare thing to find a human that knew about demons, seeing as how most that ever ran into the creatures didn't tend to live to tell about it and most others dismissed the notion as one of fantasy.
She nodded at the request, looking around a bit until she came across some imported whiskey, "Well I've got some rather strong whiskey in hand but if that's not enough I know how to mix my fair share of exceptionally strong drinks," Shahal offered the girl as she set a glass down on the counter in front of her.

Adeline nodded to her question. A small shrug coming afterwards. "Yes. Have confronted my fair share to say the least. Heh, I didn't come to this town unaware and unprepared thats for sure." She said. Having seen the yellow eyes as a child, Adeline opened her mind to the thought of demons, and just like that, seeming as though the creatures knew that she knew of them, they started popping up. Some as civil as any other human being these days, and some not so civil. "I take it from you're question you either A..." She said holding up one finger before she continued. "Know of them yourself. B" She said, holding up another finger. "Are one yourself. or C." She said holding up the third and final finger of her speech. "Think im a total nut bag, but from your expression it doesn't seem so." She said finally, bending the last finger to curl up and wiggling her two first fingers.
"If I had to choose, I'd say either A or B my friend." She added finally before taking up on the decision of which drink she would rather prefer down her throat. "Show me what you got." She said, she'd rather have a mixed drink then one solid one that burned through her esophagus, Tasted like crap and eventually burned through her nostrils until the tear ducts were forced to push the salty liquid from her eyes just enough so that one or two tears came out resulting her looking like a total idiot. Mixed drinks always tended to taste a little better. [/color]

"Well that's good to know then" Shahal said about the girl being aware and prepared, "That means I won't have to wonder later on if I'll ever see you alive again," She did that with most of the people she met, and lo and behold most of the time if Shahal did ever come across them again, they were usually dead.
Shahal held her hands away from her sides for a moment, "Ya caught me," She said with an almost wicked grin, "I'm actually something between a fallen angel and a demon though," she said, correcting the girl a little, the reason Shahal reveled herself was simply because she didn't feel the girl was much of a threat to her.
With a small nod Shahal started to mix the appropriate liquids together until finally the liquor had taken on an intense dark green color, "Don't know if you ever had one or not, but if you haven't that's an Incredible Hulk for ya," She said with a proud grin and put the glass down in front of the girl, "Enjoy,"
