Siral viewed to room-if you could call it that- with distaste. Dusty furniture, crumbling wallpaper, dirty floors and rusted pipes. All that you'd expect from a one time stripper joint. Sighing, he hung his shabby coat on the wall hanger by the broken door. All at once it broke off the wall and fell to the ground with a dusty thump. Coughing, he picked up his jacket and looked for a place to hang it. The coat itself was shabby, holes burned in the fabric at random intervals, and scratches and cuts all along the arms and bottom. But that didn't stop him from using it. This was the last one he brought with him, and he didn't have enough money to buy another. Sure, he could get another jacket a much more easier way...But that way didn't appeal to him.
Not seeing another decent hook, Siral draped it very carefully across the back of a sofa. He stretched, feeling his back bone crack with the sudden tension. Feeling satisfied, he flopped down on the nearest sofa and relaxed. After days of trying to find a place, he had finally stumbled across this trashed stripper club, the perfect place to sleep. He hadn't slept on something comfortable in days, using the alleys and boxes or whatever he could find for a bed. Now, he had this joint all to himself.
Just then, heavy breathing sounded in his ear, along with the hottest breath you could imagine. Scrambling up, he saw his fire pet. The fire wolf had came to be when he had accidental pulled it out of the fire. He tried to put it back in, but it just walked back out. Nothing he could do would make it go away. Scowling, he picked up a discarded pen and waved it about. "See it boy, do you see it?"
The fire tail wagged, and then he threw. The fire creature ran out the door after it, running with his short little legs. Siral laid back in relief.
"That will keep him preoccupied," he mumbled. Sighing, he pulled his jacket over him and crossed his arms behind his head. He closed his eyes.

"Well now that's an interesting little pet you have there," Shahal said, walking off one of the decrepit rafters of the trashed has been strip joint, landing gracefully on her feet with barely a sound made as her trench coat billowed about around her. Now one might wonder why the fallen one was there, but it was actually pretty simple Planet Love was a hide away for demons and Shahal had simply been staking the place out when this interesting character walked in.
She turned her two toned eyes to him, surveying the boy closely," So what brings you here, if ya don't mind me asking?" Shahal asked rather bored and not feeling like leaving the joint just yet. Waiting for his response she pulled a cigarette out and lit it, letting out a satisfied sigh after taking the first hit, god it had been such a long night so far.

"Well now thats's an interesting little pet you have there"
Siral almost had a heart attack when a voice cam out of the shadows. As it was, he stumbled off the couch and to his feet in one fluid moment, pulling the coat off him and to the floor. For a heart freezing second, the voice coming out of the shadows without a body with it had reminded him of the voice on the phone. But, as he saw now as the woman jumped down to land lightly on her feet, that the mysterious voice didnt fit with this character. He noted her trench coat without surprise. He'd seen woman wear worse, and it had shocked him when he had first started off on the streets. Now it took more than a little strange clothing to shock him.
Siral was instantly on his guard when the woman first appeared. He hadnt sensed her in here at all, and he was getting pretty good at sensing others thanks to the voice when it helped him as he grew up. Now he was all alone, with only his own instincts to rely on. It wasnt a comforting thought. "None of your business, and I do mind you asking."
His tone was sharp and blunt, hoping to scare her into leaving. He wasnt about to give up this nice sofa for her. He smothered down a spark of anger at his thought, and he felt his ears grow depsite his insisting it not to. He licked his lips nervously. The woman lit a cigarette and breathed it out. Siral coughed and took a step back pointedly.

Shahal looked at him closely, making a mocking mewling sound after he spoke," Well no need to get so defensive boy, I haven't threatened you yet have I?" She asked in a mocking tone that was almost like the one someone would use when speaking to a toddler," You'd had better be careful a mouth like yours could get into a lot of trouble around here,"
To be honest, she really didn't give much of a damn that the smoke bothered him, after all he had been more then just a bit rude to her to begin with and after such a long night of demon hunting ones nerves tended to be a bit on the raw side. Her eyes though watched him like a hawk would it's prey and she noticed the little change in his ears," Hm isn't that interesting, you're not exactly human are you?" Shahal asked, curious about the boy now.

Siral looked at the woman with a shocked expression before he managed to cover it up. Not human? Oh, he was human alright, but only by half. How did she know that he wasnt just human? He remembered his pointed ears and he frowned. She could see it? The she wasnt human herself!
"And your not quiet human, are you?" he shot back. If she could see them pointed, then she had something not human in her blood too. He rocked back on his heels and took another step back to escape the smoke. It burned his nostril's, and he didnt like it. He looked toward the door where the fire wolf had disappearedm and wished that it would come back soon, or at least give a sign that it was there.
And what did she mean by he had better be careful with a mouth like his? He wasnt the one who had jumped out from virtually nowhere! He was on the defense, he had a reason to be mouthy if she had just scared the bejeebies out of him!

She smirked at him, "Never said I was did I?" It was a rather cocky answer but a true answer none the less, " I'm surprised you didn't notice that sooner, don't know how to really use your powers fully do you?" Shahal asked him, her tail flicking around under her trench coat.
"Half demon, I'm guessing," Shahal mused about him aloud to no one in particular, taking another inhale from the cigarette and letting the smoke out after turning her head to the side, feeling slightly considerate for once.
Honestly she was wondering what he was feeling so catty about, and why was he looking at her like that? Goodness all she was going to originally was tell him to watch himself and maybe point him to a hotel or something.

Siral leaned back in surprise as she said he didnt know how to fully use his powers. He knew little of his powers, he just knew the basics! Or so the Voice said. He rocked back even more as she guessed what he was. "Half demon, I'm guessing." How could she tell so much in the space of a minute?!
He looked at her with a little more respect than previously. He noticed her trench coat moving slightly, and he frowned. What was that? He gave a mental shrug. It didnt matter to him. Just then, his fire wolf came lumbering through the doorway, the now molten remains of the pen in his firery mouth. Siral was glad for the distraction.
He bent down and grabbed the fire wolves thick firery neck, right where the thick fur of a real wolf was. He stroked it, the flames licking at his fingers, but he didnt feel any pain, and his fingers didnt bore any burns. He looked up at the woman, and nodded. "Half demon," he confirmed. "Not that I asked for it."

The look on the boys face was for the most part all the conformation she needed, of course Shahal was right on this, her instincts were almost never wrong when it came to such things, she was once an archangel after all, with that last little bit of musing she took another hit from the cigarette before flicking the spent filter away, mildly hoping that nothing caught fire because of that.
She looked over as the fiery animal made an entrance, "Aw it's kinda cute," Shahal said of the wolf that had walked back in to the room as her tail flicked about a bit more, but then again snakes and juvenile Cerberus's were also things that she found cute, so really it went without saying that the woman had an odd taste in pets.
Shahal nodded in understanding her attention returning to the boy in front of her, "The name is Shahal by the way," It was a simple and rather friendly gesture, sort of her way of calling for him to chill out a bit as she didn't plan on hurting him

Siral hesitated only a second before answering. "Siral." His shoulders relaxed at the introduction, and he sat cross-legged on the floor, his firewolves head next to his knee. The fire wolf had wanted to put it's head in his lap, but the boy knew that if it did, then he would need some new pants and some serious painkillers.
He watched yet again as her trench coat flickered, and he pursed his lips at her thoughtfully. "Hey, what exactly are you?" She might be concealing an extra head, tail, or snake for all he knew. He knew that there might be other demons or half demons in the world, and the Voice had even told him that there were such things as angels and fallen angels. Maybe this woman was a demon with a tail? He didnt know.
He scratched at the fire wolves ears nd the small wolf panted happily. Siral remembered what the woman had said about it. Cute? The wolf? Huh. "Try living with him for a night and then tell me he's so cute in the morning." he mumbled.

Shahal nodded, indicating that she was listening to him, "Well it's a pleasure to meet you Siral," the girl said with a small bow, sometimes she couldn't help formalities, after all Shahal was very, very old. But she couldn't help but smile a but smile a bit, knowing that the rather uptight boy had relaxed a little.
Her head tilted to the side at the question he presented her with, and Shahal figured he must have noticed her tail flicking around behind her from the look she was getting off of him, "Good question," Shahal sighed lightly and ran a hand through her hair, "Hybrid, something between a fallen angel and a demon I suppose," She shook her head at that, "It's a long and rather complicated story,"
She couldn't help but laugh at his words, "As long as he's house trained then maybe, but remember I said he was kinda cute," Shahal chuckled and walked over, scratching at the fire wolf's ears.

A fallen angel and a demon? How could that happen. Siral eyed her with curiousity. That must have been one heck of a fall, from angel to demon. He looked on as she bent down and scratched at the fire wolf's ears. Like he had expected, the flames didnt burn her.
He chuckled as he threw one arm around the wolf, careful to keep his sleeves away. "He's house trained... I think. At least, he hasnt made a mess at all yet. Actually, I dont think he even does that....." He trailed off uncomfortably and ducked his head.
He didnt know much about fire wolves, and he didnt even believe they existed until he had pulled this one out of the fire. Problem was, he couldnt push it back in. But he was kinda used to the company now. He reached into his pocket and brought out a licorice. He took out another and offered it to Shahal.
He had an addiction to licorice, he couldnt help it. It was too good. He frowned. He had to find work soon, so he could earn some money so he could buy food.. He was tired of digging in garbage cans when the money was short.

Her lips twitched up into a smile and she chuckled lightly again, maybe the wolf didn't actually do such things, Shahal figured that would be so, it'd be something really odd and rather interesting at the same time. Then again she also figured it would be weird and ended that train of thought because of it.
"Ah thank you," Shahal said and took the offered licorice chewing on it thoughtfully. It had been a long time since she had eaten licorice, so long in fact that she had almost forgotten just how it tasted.
"Forgive me but I am curious," Shahal started slowly, still petting the fiery creature, even though the flames licked at her hand it didn't bother her, "But really what are you doing in a place like this? It's dangerous here to be by yourself unless your skilled at combat,"

Siral instantly looked down at the floor when she asked her last questions. Why was he here? Cause if he wasnt, then his mother would get hurt, or worse, living with someone she thought fully human. There was people after him, after all. He thought about how to answer it, and finally decided.
"Well, if I had stayed behind, my family may have gotten hurt for what I was, you know, the hunters and all that. The ones that think even all half demons are evil. But their not! Well, at least I'm not. I dont think I am."
He felt his ears and felt, to his immense reielf, that they were no longer pointed. He let out a surprised sigh and smiled as the fire wolf sniffed at Shahal's hand, licking it with his fiery tongue. He caught it's jaw and gently leaned it away from her hand.
"Stop that," he said into it's ear. The wolf immediately turned and licked his cheek with it's tongue. Siral leaned away and brought a hand across his cheek. It was dry, with just a bit of a brun, which he knew would heel in a moment.

Shahal listened to him, the boy had guts and a sense of duty, she was really starting to like him. It was something hard to do, leave everything one ever knew behind for an uncertain future because of something one had absolutely no control over, "I know not all are bad, ever heard the story of the Dark Knight Sparda?" She couldn't help but smile at the story, she knew it was true,"
She all but giggled at the odd feeling of the wolf licking at her hand, it definitely wasn't like a normal dog tongue that was sure, it was much dryer then that but still smooth, and the flames tickled a bit, "It's alright, little bugger doesn't mean any harm," She said with a smile, leaning down to the dog she scratched under his chin, "Isn't that right?" Shahal asked the wolf.
"Well since you told me what you were doing here, I figure I'll tell you what I'm doin hangin around this place," Shahal said to Siral, still playing around with the wolf, "Lesser demons tend to hang around this place a lot, I'm hunting them. Which is also why I said you should be careful around here,"

Siral frowned. "The Dark Knight Sparda? " No, he had never heard of him.... Wouldnt the Voice had told him something of him if he was important? He shook his head in answer to Shahal's question. "No, never heard of him."
His eyes widened as she told him of the lesser demons in the place. He had never met any demons... He had heard of the way his father had seduced his mother into a night of pleasure, but the Voice wouldnt elaborate any further than that. He looked at the woman and said softly, "What kind of demons?"
He wasnt sure if his father was a lesser demon, but if he was he didnt know how he'd feel if he got killed. He would still be stuck out in the streets, and his mother would still be living alone, clueless as to the real reason her son had left. He wasnt sure which one he wanted, the bastard dead or a happy family. Not that a demon would provide a happy family, but he could dream, couldnt he?
